Canada’s Next Top Ad Exec
Kate Perkins-McVey and Maddie Gillmeister, a team of fourth year advanced marketing majors, made it to the top 10 in Canada’s Next Top Ad Exec competition, the nation’s largest advertising and marketing experiential program. They made the finals after a competition process that included 215 submissions from 25 schools.
Congratulations to the 2016 - 2017 Schwartz JDCC team for representing the Schwartz School of Business in Ottawa, Ontario on January 6-8th. Our JDCC team competed against 13 other schools and placed very well in all 8 categories!
Atlantic Throwdown Case Competition
Schwartz School of Business placed first in the Atlantic Throwdown Case Competition in the 2016 -2017 school year. A big congratulations to Megan Hawkins, Jacob Buffam, and Jessie Hoole who made up the Schwartz team. This case competition is a great opportunity to develop your presentation and critical thinking skills while showing what Schwartz has to offer.
Atlantic Accounting Case Competition
An impressive performance at the 2017 Atlantic Business Case Competition has netted StFX Gerald Schwartz School of Business students Andrew Kinzie, Kyla MacDougall and Jakub Hass a first place finish at the Atlantic competition held March 10-11, 2017 at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax.
CFA - Institute Research Challenge
Congratulations to the 2016 - 2017 CFA Research team for representing the Schwartz School of Business in Halifax, Nova Scotia on March 11th where three third years and one fifth year held their own against MBA students and students with their CFA Level 1. Our CFA team competed against 6 other schools and placed very well.
Enactus Regional Competition
Enactus StFX has earned a second runner-up finish at the Enactus Canada Regional Exposition in Halifax this month for their entrepreneurial efforts running X-DENN, an on-campus consignment shop where students can buy and sell a wide variety of products.
